PREIGNITION is T. L. Quach's second screenplay about Transgenerational Trauma and the complication of Asian American identity.
This psychological horror film involves an overwhelmed young woman becomes haunted with complex PTSD while having food poisoning on her flight. Her anxiety causes her to hallucinate and relive her childhood trauma involving her Asian American identity and her parents’ Boat Refugee experience after the Vietnam War.
Quach's mission is to authentically tell a multi-layered story about what multi-ethnic Asian American women face and the damages resulting not only from war and immigration but also from culture and societal expectations.
This script is still in development on its 5th draft. If interested in learning more about the story and collaborating, please email [email protected].
